dosted

achieve anything by doing one small thing every day

backstory

this is actually the second iteration of dosted. I made the original version in 2019 as my final project for the coding bootcamp Ironhack (and it won best final web dev project).

the original premise was, what if you could change the world by doing one small thing every day? and the second version has a very similar premise.

except, instead of doing a random daily act of kindness for another person, you do a daily task curated just for you and your goal that puts you one step closer to achieving your goals.

I think, in the end, helping people to stick with and achieve their goals can change the world.

why

I'm a habitual reader and learner, and I have a few too many interests to keep working on all of them at the same time.

sometimes life gets busy, and one thing (naturally) takes precedence. and in those times, it can be very easy to drop hobbies, habits, or goals.

these things can be picked back up again, but in some aspects you have to start near zero again. and that's such a waste.

it would be significantly better to have an easy way, that takes no pre-planning, to make progress even on the busiest days.

so

with advancements in AI and my own desire to be able to continually make progress towards my own goals, I decided to work on version two.

this time, also including the ability to keep track of the category of my goals, to have an overview of what I'm working on, and what I'm prioritizing, at all times.

as well as the ability to connect with others who are also working on similar goals. a bet on the idea that others also want to connect with people and make new friends who have similar interests and priorities.

achieve anything by doing one small thing every day.
